Penel j Smith is the author of the children's book "Hugo and Fluffy Tales".  She also illustrated the book.  "Hugo and Fluffy Tales" are true short stories about Penel's two black cats. The stories are told as the cats see things.  One book was mailed to H.H. The Dalai Lama.  It was presented to him.  According to his staff, The Dalai Lama decided to keep the book, and now a copy of "Hugo and Fluffy Tales" is in his personal library in Dharamsala, India!

Penel  j  also designs and makes silver and copper wire jewellery.  She does oil paintings on canvas, and paints with acrylic fabric paints onto clothing.
